The pool: day pass
A day pass for non-guests costs €40 per person and includes a sunbed, pool towel and flip-flops (parasol subject to availability). Access is by reservation only (and while spaces last) by writing to info@adorohotel.it, with confirmation within 24 hours. Good to know: outside food and drink are not allowed, and entry is reserved for adults.
Dinner at Ristorante Elisia
After a day by the pool, the break can continue at the table. Elisia, the restaurant of Adoro Hotel, is open for dinner every day, including for non-guests, from 7.30pm to 11pm. The kitchen follows traditional Roman cuisine, built on fresh, seasonal, zero-mile ingredients from local producers, with aromatic herbs grown in the garden next to the restaurant. Every dish is a tribute to the land: respect for tradition and a love of quality. Those who prefer to be guided can choose Il Percorso Elisia, the four-course tasting menu at €35 per person (full menu here).

Guests at Adoro Hotel also have access to the wellness area: the Urban SPA, with whirlpool, Finnish sauna, Turkish bath and sensory shower, plus a well-equipped fitness centre. For owner Amity Neumeister, the path to Zem began during her university days in Siena when she fell in love with Rome. When the opportunity arose a decade ago, she poured her energy into creating a space centered around community, where Zem has evolved into a close-knit yoga family.
Today, alongside seven other dedicated instructors and several volunteer karma yogis, Amity and her team create a holistic experience that begins the second you cross the threshold. Amity’s vision clearly resonates with the team, who deeply believe in the ‘Zem way’ of fostering a sense of belonging that extends beyond just the mat.
That care flourishes in the studio room. Classes are kept small and personal, usually averaging between 5 to 20 students. Before my first session began, Amity moved through the room, chatting with new students and catching up with regulars by name, asking how their bodies were feeling today.
The students here span from 20 to 80 years old, bringing together people from completely different walks of life. The bonds formed run deep, Amity sharing with a smile that the studio has sparked close friendships, tight social groups and even a few marriages over the years.
An International Vibe with a Local Pulse
A defining feature of Zem is that every single class is taught entirely in English. This is a massive comfort for expats and tourists navigating a foreign city. During our visit, the very first student came through the door beaming, exclaiming how amazing it is that they do this in English.
Yet, Zem isn’t just an expat bubble. A huge portion of the studio’s daily students are local Italians. For them, Zem offers a vibrant, international experience right in their own backyard, making it a cultural crossroads where everyone is smiling, open and inclusive.
On The Mat
Whether you are a seasoned yogi or a total beginner, there is zero intimidation here. As someone who hadn’t stepped onto a yoga mat in several years, I walked into the room feeling a little apprehensive, but the environment instantly melted away any first-time jitters. At the beginning, Amity asked everyone to introduce themselves and talk to someone they didn’t know. It was a beautiful touch that immediately made me feel comfortable and entirely part of the space.
I took Amity’s Heated Vinyasa class and the room was kept perfectly warm, comfortably loosening up tight muscles without ever feeling stuffy or overwhelming. For anyone worried about keeping up, Amity seamlessly builds options into every sequence, offering adjustments to make poses more accessible or more challenging depending on how your body feels. The studio provides plenty of props; we used yoga blocks and myofascial release balls to roll out deep tension, making the entire session feel fully customizable to my own pace.
Each of the Zem instructors brings their own unique background so the practice never feels rigid, some leaning into meditation and others more into dynamic movement. Zem Yoga Studio Roma stands out because it is a place where you come for the physical practice, but stay for the calm you find in your mind and the connection you make to the people. Ogni creazione, plasmata dagli artigiani del profumo, è un viaggio che scava nelle profondità dell’animo umano, per poi diffondersi nell’aria e raccontarsi attraverso l’olfatto.
I numeri dell’edizione 2025
Numerose le novità della nuova edizione, a partire dalla grande partecipazione dei brand, quest’anno 384, provenienti da 38 Paesi. Tra questi, alcune new entry come: Thailandia, Barbados, Lituania e Lettonia. Sempre presenti i marchi provenienti da Italia, Francia, Spagna, Germania, Grecia, Croazia, Svezia, Svizzera, Austria, Repubblica Ceca, Turchia, Usa, UK. Non mancano neppure quelli di Uae (Emirati Arabi Uniti), Oman, Qatar, Uzbekistan, Giappone, Singapore, Cina, Hong Kong, Corea, India, Argentina, Australia.
“La cosmetica è una vera e propria forza della nostra Regione: oltre la metà delle imprese cosmetiche italiane ha sede in Lombardia, tra Milano, Bergamo, Crema e Monza Brianza. Distretti di bellezza, che contribuiscono per il 2% alla produzione mondiale. Proprio per la sua forza e rilevanza anche in questo settore, la nostra Regione non poteva, quindi, che prendere provvedimenti in merito alla sostenibilità. Ma io preferisco chiamare responsabilità, perché di comportamenti responsabili si tratta”.
Così l’assessore al Turismo, Marketing territoriale e Moda di Regione Lombardia, Barbara Mazzali, in occasione dell’evento ‘L’Oreal for the Future Day‘ nella sede milanese della multinazionale della cosmetica, dove ha portato i saluti del governatore Attilio Fontana.
Insieme ai colossi mondiali della cosmetica
“La maggior parte delle nostre aziende opera come terzista. Cuore della produzione del prodotto, per i colossi della cosmesi globale”, continua Mazzali. L’assessore precisando che “per il settore specifico del make up, la quota di mercato della Lombardia a livello planetario è pari al 37%. In Europa invece sale addirittura fino al 45%”. Ma, precisa l’assessore, “il contributo delle imprese lombarde non è solo nella produzione. ma anche nel modo di fare produzione, in maniera responsabile”.
Da rifiuto a risorsa
In questo quadro e “così come chiede l’Unione europea”, precisa Mazzali, “oggi la sfida è anche nella ricerca di soluzioni innovative. Proprio per contenere l’impatto ambientale del ‘packaging’ (l’imballaggio), trasformandolo da rifiuto a risorsa. Utile per la tutela dell’ambiente”.
C’è, infine, un altro aspetto enfatizzato dall’assessore: “La sostenibilità è oggi un driver decisivo nell’influenzare le scelte d’acquisto dei consumatori e un imballaggio concepito in modo da creare il minor impatto ambientale è fondamentale. Il packaging ‘del futuro’ – conclude – dovrà, quindi, essere a basso impatto ambientale, secondo le logiche di un sistema economico pianificato per riutilizzare i materiali in successivi cicli produttivi, riducendo gli sprechi e favorendo la lotta contro sfide globali come il cambiamento climatico e l’inquinamento ambientale”.
